FAMU Lady Rattlers Swish 14th Straight Win

TALLAHASSEE, Florida - The FAMU Women's basketball team scored their 14th straight victory Monday night in a 5-point game against North Carolina A&T.

FAMU's "Think Pink" game featured a sluggish start by the MEAC leading Lady Rattlers. Coach LeDawn Gibson's squad led by 4 at intermission and then held on for the 68-65 victory Monday at the Al Lawson Center. The 68-point total was 34 points fewer than the Orange & Green total from Saturday's 102-66 beatdown of North Carolina Central.

Monday's game featured Antonio Bennett scoring her 1500th career point for FAMU. It also featured 3 players in double digit scoring (Bennett, 17 Points; Kimberly Sparkman, 19 Points; Tameka McKelton, 13 Points).

The Lady Rattlers improve to (17-5) overall, (10-0) versus the MEAC.
