Fort Valley State tops Clark Atlanta in SIAC opener

FORT VALLEY, Georgia -- Sometimes, the right opponent at the right time can be like medicine. For Fort Valley State, Clark Atlanta was just that.

The Wildcats took control early with a steady offense and played four solid quarters on defense en route to a 26-3 win Saturday night over the Panthers in the SIAC opener for both teams.

The Wildcats improved to 2-1 overall while the Panthers fell to 1-2.

“The hustle,” FVSU head coach Donald Pittman said of his favorite sight of the evening. “You like the hustle.”

FVSU is back home in six days to host Benedict.
