Ram Ramblings: Scrimmage goes well for WSSU this afternoon

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina  -- I decided to cozy up to the defensive players on the sidelines of WSSU’s scrimmage this afternoon because I was convinced the defense would dominate.

As usual, I was wrong.

While the defense did more than held it’s own the offense came to life during certain portions of the scrimmage. Of course, Coach Connell Maynor was hoping for a lot more from his offense but he always expects more.

I’m pretty sure fans who watch the Rams this season are going to see just how good quarterback Kam Smith and those three talented wide receivers – Jamal Williams, Jameze Massey and Jahuann – were because they aren’t around anymore.

Still, even without those players the Rams do have talent on offense and it’s just a matter of time before they get comfortable.
