Former Alabama State OL Terren Jones comments on making Atlanta Falcons' final roster

ATLANTA, Georgia -- Turns out if you're a 6-foot-7, 320-pounder with quick feet, smarts and aggression, it doesn't matter what school you went to.

Former Alabama State left tackle Terren Jones made the Atlanta Falcons official 53-man roster after signing with the club as a free agent shortly after the conclusion of the 2013 NFL Draft this past April.

"I went in with a small chip on my shoulder," Jones said in a release from the university. "I'm not a chump; I'm as tough as anybody else out there. That's what playing in the SWAC and at Alabama State does for you."

Former Alabama State veteran quarterback Tarvaris Jackson made the Seahawks' roster and wide receiver Greg Jenkins will remain with the Raiders as a member of the team's practice squad.
