TALLAHASSEE, Florida  -- On Thursday night the Florida A&M University men’s basketball team defeated the 8-6 Florida International Panthers. In some ways the game resembled a MEAC matchup including former Norfolk State head coach Anthony Evans leading FIU on the Panther bench. This was an important win for the Rattlers because they have been competitive in almost every loss this season and have not been able to close out games to get a win.

The stats will show that FAMU won the game in overtime, but it was the last two minutes of regulation where FAMU actually stole the momentum and won the game. FAMU trailed the entire game, never tying or taking the lead. That is, until eight seconds was left in the game and senior Jamari Bradshaw sank a three pointer to tie the game.
