NCCU Football Signs Tranfer to Fill Need at Wide Receiver

DURHAM, North Carolina  -- At the end of spring practice, North Carolina Central University first-year head football coach Jerry Mack said he was looking for more offensive playmakers. Mack landed one on Tuesday with the signing of Scottsdale Community College wide receiver Anas Hasic.

The 6-0, 195-pound receiver collected 58 catches for 890 yards and 10 touchdowns during Scottsdale's 10-1 season in 2013.

Hasic, who was born in Croatia, was a two-year starter at North Canyon High School in Phoenix, Ariz.  He was selected as the region offensive player of the year after amassing 49 receptions for 1,016 yards and breaking every receiving record at North Canyon.

He originally signed with Northern Arizona University in February 2011, before playing the 2012 and 2013 seasons at Scottsdale Community College.
