S.C. State battles Eastern Kentucky; Homecoming for Bulldogs Coach Murray Garvin

RICHMOND, Kentucky -- The South Carolina State Bulldogs looking to snap a three-game losing skid on Saturday when they take on host Eastern Kentucky in a non-conference contest at McBrayer Arena. Tipoff is 7 p.m.

S.C. State head coach Murray Garvin is an Eastern Kentucky graduate, earning a degree in physical education in 1998. The Pikeville, Kentucky, native spent three years as an assistant coach at Tates Creek High School in Lexington after completing his degree.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs (4-11, 2-0 MEAC) are looking to snap a three-game losing skid against the Colonels. In their last outing, South Carolina State suffered a 74-54 setback at Fordham on Wednesday. Sophomore guard Karon Wright led the squad with 18 points and freshman guard Edward Stephens had seven points and five assists.
