The men did not qualify for team scoring, but the women did and finished sixth out of eight schools. The Gold Nuggets finished ahead of NCAA Division I opponents Texas Southern and Northwestern State. XULA is a longtime NAIA member. Top finishers for XULA were Skylah Barton (35th place, 21 minutes, 14.2 seconds for 5,000 meters) in the women's race and Steven Wilson (52nd place, 24:52.2 for four miles) in the men's.
