The junior guard scored a season-high 28 points and time and again provided a spark for a struggling ASU offense.
The Hornets won their fourth in a row, 73-61.
"I'm just trying to do what I can within the offense," Hayles said. "This is all a team effort each night. When I was open, I tried to hit what I could."
