Thorobreds staying focused while striving toward ultimate goal

Frankfort, KY - Kentucky State’s football team has its eye on a prize at the end of the season – the SIAC championship game Nov. 12 in Atlanta.

Before the Thorobreds get too caught up in reaching that goal, senior running back/kick returner Andrew Ramsey has some advice for his younger teammates.

“Four years go by fast,” Ramsey said during KSU’s media day Friday afternoon. “I remember coming here in 2007. Times flies, in the classroom and not just when you’re playing. “I tell the freshmen they have a chance to play now,” he added. “You don’t have to wait until your junior or senior year. People think they have time, they can wait, but our freshmen can play now and be part of what we’re trying to do at KSU.”
