NSU rewards coach with 2-year extension

NORFOLK, Virginia  - Norfolk State's first MEAC title earned Pete Adrian two more years as head coach of the Spartans.

The Spartans agreed to a two-year contract extension with Adrian on Thursday, keeping the head coach in place through the 2015 season.

Adrian will continue working on a $155,000 base salary with performance bonuses, terms he agreed to when his contact was extended last year, but he received an additional two years in the new deal.

Adrian took over a down-in-the-dumps Norfolk State program in 2005 and won the school's first MEAC title last season, taking the team from catastrophe to consistent.
