Stillman drives Ford to 27-8 win against Kentucky State

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama --- It looked like a routine crossing route.
Matched up against Kentucky State freshman Eric Rawls, Stillman senior Damian Ford created just enough space across the middle to get open and maybe move the chains for an early first down.

But Ford, whose developed a penchant for turning the ordinary into the extraordinary during his career as a Tiger, turned it into a 60-yard touchdown reception to get his team on the board first in a 27-8 victory in its Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener.

"Obviously, that's what we want to get--- the big plays and we want execution," Stillman coach Teddy Keaton said. "I thought Damian did a good job. You want to go to your go-to receiver and we went to him and he made a big play for us."
