WSSU Rams climb to No. 11

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina  --  The Winston-Salem State men’s basketball team climb ed six spots to No. 11 in this week’s Division II coaches poll. The Rams (13-2, 6-0 CIAA) are in the midst of a 12-game winning streak.

West Liberty (W.Va.) is the top-ranked team. No. 19 is Barton, located in Wilson.

Winston-Salem State will hold Earl Monroe Legacy Weekend on Feb. 1-2 in conjunction with men’s and women’s games against Livingstone College.

Six individuals and members of the 1963 CIAA men’s c hampionship team will be honored. The individuals are William English (‘69), Carlos Terry (’78; posthumously), Reggie Gaines (‘80), Keenan Menefee-Long (‘86), Carolyn Huntley (‘87) and Sandy Smith (‘73).
