NEW ORLEANS — One tennis team won't make the trip, so Xavier University of
Louisiana's schedules for its visit to Prairie View, Texas, have been
adjusted.
Coach Alan Green said both the Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets will
play Oklahoma Baptist at 4 p.m. Friday. The Gold Rush will play Bethany (Kan.)
at 2 p.m. Saturday, and both XU teams will play Prairie View A&M at 9 a.m.
Sunday. XU will play all its matches at the Prairie View A&M Tennis
Complex.
The team not traveling to Texas will be Bethany's women, which
results in no competition for the Gold Nuggets on Saturday.
The Gold
Rush are 1-2 and ranked eighth in the NAIA. The Gold Nuggets are 1-1 and ranked
13th. Oklahoma Baptist's women are ranked 18th, and Bethany's men are ranked
10th.
