MEMPHIS, Tennessee -- The 24th annual Southern Heritage Classic between Tennessee State and Jackson State is set for September 14 at the Liberty Bowl in Memphis.
This marks the 20th year in a row (and 22nd overall) that the teams have squared off in this Classic which began in 1990. Tennessee State is 12-11 all-time in the event while Jackson State is 9-12. The all-time series between the two schools is at 25-20-2 in favor of TSU.
The Big Blue won the 2012 meeting 38-12 in front of 42,257.
