Southern to host JSU in 1 p.m. doubleheader May 4

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana  --  Southern University baseball will host Jackson State for a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Lee-Hines Field after the teams originally schedule contest Friday was cancelled due to rain in the Jackson, Miss. area.

Friday's game against Jackson State, which was set for 6 pm at Braddy Field, has been canceled due to inclement weather. Southern will travel to Jackson to play a double header in 2014.

Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader will air live on Downtown Radio 97.7 FM with the pregame show starting at 12:45 p.m.

Southern will host LSU-Eunice May 9-11 for one final tune-up before the 2013 SWAC Baseball Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas May 15-19.
