Winston-Salem State's Collins humbled by latest honor

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina  --  Bobby Collins, the men’s basketball coach at Winston-Salem State, has been selected to participate in the NCAA Black Coaches and Administrators Achieving Coaching Excellence Program.

The ACE program, scheduled June 5-8 in Indianapolis, is designed to provide additional professional development opportunities.

“It’s a very big honor, and I’m excited,” said Collins, an 18-year veteran who called his selection the biggest honor of his career.

“They just pick 12 coaches from throughout the country, so this is something that I’m very humbled by but I’m also grateful.”
