PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- The Prairie View A&M Panther football team officially kicked off the 2013 campaign on Monday evening with a spirited practice on campus at the practice fields.The 90-plus student-athletes reported to camp Sunday evening and spent Monday afternoon getting acclimated to their training camp schedule along with other facets of university life. Training camp will last approximately three weeks with one practice per day the first week followed by two-a-day practices every other day beginning on Monday, Aug. 12. The 2013 season opener will take place on Saturday, Aug. 31 in Houston versus longtime rival Texas Southern at 7 p.m. in BBVA Compass Stadium.
Season tickets are still available by calling (936) 261-9111 in addition to special hotel rates for selected games through the month of August.
