WSSU notes: Maynor still hears the critics

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina -- Coach Connell Maynor of Winston-Salem State realizes that fans can be fickle.

The Rams are 35-4 in his three seasons, are coming off a trip to the national-championship game and have one of the nation’s top Division II programs, but Maynor said he still has critics.

"As far as people criticizing or judging you, that is what people do,” he said. “Believe it or not, I probably have some Connell Maynor haters out there, and I’m 35-4. So they are probably waiting for me to go 7-4 so they can get rid of me, but that’s life.”
