The Editor, Dwight Floyd: Made for TV Hatred

TALLAHASSEE, Florida  -- There always has to be a pro and a con, a good guy and a bad guy. Professional wrestling makes good use of that using all sorts of stereotypes to draw fans to its doors. We see it every Sunday in professional football and again in professional basketball where, according to ESPN, Lebron James hates Jalen Rose and the Chicago Bulls, and vice versa. Do these guys, a bunch of potential millionaires, really hate each other? What does this mean off the court?

Before I go any further let us talk rivalries. University of Auburn fans really hate University of Alabama fans. Florida State University fans, the “real fans,” cannot tolerate a Gator. As for me, Bethune Cookman College, excuse me, University, is my rival school. As a FAMU Rattler I hate to lose to the Wildcats in anything, even marbles! They are on a roll right now when it comes to football and the band, but they better watch out or they might get snake bitten. Now does that sound like hate?
