2014 VSU Football Schedule Features Six Home Games

PETERSBURG, Virginia  --  Facing a very challenging non-conference schedule, 2^nd year Head Football Coach Latrell Scott and the Virginia State University Trojans will play two of their first three games on the road. VSU kicks off the 2014 campaign at Adamson Stadium against California University (PA) on Saturday, Sept. 6^th in the first ever meeting between the two teams. VSU will then come home to Rogers Stadium to face 2013 Division II runner up Lenoir-Rhyne University on Saturday, Sept. 13. In week three the Trojans will travel to Frankfort, KY to take on Kentucky State University.

Following the Kentucky State game VSU will play three consecutive home contests. The Trojans will take on Fayetteville State University, St. Augustine's University and Elizabeth City State University at Rogers Stadium.

On October 18^th VSU will visit Bowie State University for the Bulldogs homecoming.

VSU will welcome Trojan Alumni home for Homecoming 2014 on October 25^th with a game versus Lincoln University (PA). The final regular season home game and senior day will be on November 1^st versus Chowan University.

To conclude the regular season the Trojans will travel North on Interstate 95 to take on longtime rival Virginia Union University.
