Hardwrick's double lifts UAPB past St. Louis, 3-2

NASHVILLE, Tennessee  --  The University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Softball team picked up their second win of the season with a 3-2 win over  St Louis University, here Friday afternoon at Tiger Field in their first game of the Tiger Invitational.

UAPB (2-12) finished the contest with five hits with Jasmine Hardwrick finishing with a team high two hits.

SLU (8-4) tallied four hits in the contest with four Billikens finishing with one hit each for SLU.

Lacie Sutterfield (2-7) picked the win for the Lady Lions as she pitched seven innings, allowing four hits, two earned runs and striking out three in the 27 batters she faced, while Laney Kneib (3-1) received the loss for the Billikens as she pitched six innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs and striking out two in the 26 batters she faced.

SLU would plate one run in the top of the first on an Alex Nickel double to left field scoring Friedman.

 Paige Garcia would tie the contest at 1-1 in the bottom of the fourth as she scored on Hardwrick single.

The Billikens would go up 2-1 in the top of the sixth as Lindsay Friedman scored on a McKenzie Peter sacrifice fly to centerfield.

UAPB would plate two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the 3-2 win as both Kelsey Ridegeway and Tiressa Jacobs scored on a Hardwrick double to left center.
