Hudson Tabbed OVC Player of the Week

NASHVILLE, Tennessee  -- Tennessee State University women’s basketball player Chelsea Hudson was named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player of the Week on Monday.
 
In TSU’s final two games of the regular season, Hudson averag
ed 21.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game to help the Lady Tigers pick up two big road wins.
 
The redshirt junior led TSU with 21 points and seven rebounds against Morehead State to help TSU snap a four-game road losing skid.
 
In the regular season finale against Eastern Kentucky, she led the Lady Tigers for the third straight game and recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds. The win secured a 4th seed and first round by for TSU in the OVC Tournament.
 
The honor is Hudson’s second of the season and fourth OVC weekly recognition of her career. She was name the OVC Freshman of the Week, twice during the 2011-12 campaign.
