What NFL Draft analysts are saying about former Alabama State RB Isaiah Crowell

MONTGOMERY, Alabama  -- Former Alabama State running back Isaiah Crowell is one of the most mystifying skill-position players in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Here are a few things we know about the Columbus, Ga. native who decided to skip his final year of college eligibility for the opportunity to turn pro. 
 
His talent is undeniable.
 


Crowell is a former five-star recruit. Coming out of Carver High School (Ga.), he was rated as the nation's No. 4 player at his position ahead of the likes of former Auburn star Tre Mason, Devonta Freeman (Florida State) and Ka'Deem Carey (Arizona), all of whom are projected to be chosen before him in the draft. Crowell stayed in-state and signed with Georgia, rushing for 850 yards and five scores on his way to being named SEC Freshman of the Year, proving he's capable of shining when matched up against the best.
