Mike Davis commits Chris Thomas, Deverell Biggs to bolster Texas Southern



HOUSTON, Texas  -- Some coaches have a niche when it comes to recruiting. John Calipari's mastered reeling in one-and-done freshmen at Kentucky. Fred Hoiberg's the king of hauling in ready-to-breakout eligible transfers.

At Texas Southern, coach Mike Davis has made the Houston campus a destination for second-chance players. 

STARTING FIVE: Previewing the 2014-15 season 

Following the success of West Virginia transfer Aaric Murray, who became the SWAC Player of the Year after averaging 21.2 points and 7.7 rebounds a game, Davis revealed to USA TODAY Sports the commitments of his incoming influx of talented players. Some are following a similar path to Murray — having played at marquee programs before being dismissed.
