Reggie Barlow files wrongful termination lawsuit against ASU

MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- Former Alabama State University Football Coach Reggie Barlow filed a lawsuit on Wednesday against the university after being forced out of the position following the 2014 season.

According to the court complaint, the lawsuit is based on four separate cause of action including breach of contract, fraud, wrongful termination and negligent employment and supervision.

Barlow signed a new contract in September 2014 with a pay raise, but two months later in November he was asked to resign from his position.

The deal guaranteed three years on the job with a pay increase and a $500,000 annual salary pool for his assistant coaches. The new pay schedule was effective immediately.
