Deon King Named to STATS FCS Preseason All-America 2nd Team

NORFOLK, Virginia -- Norfolk State senior linebacker Deon King was named to the STATS FCS Preseason All-America second team, the organization announced on Thursday.

King is a two-time All-MEAC defender who earned first-team all-conference accolades as a junior in 2014. King ranked fourth in the MEAC with 106 total tackles last season for the No. 2 ranked defense in the nation among FCS squads. King's 18 tackles for loss tied for second-most in the MEAC, and his 7.5 sacks tied for sixth. In addition, King recovered three fumbles, forced two, intercepted one pass, deflected two others, and had nine quarterback hurries.
