TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- Neither team has a pretty record. The Bethune lady Wildcats have won only 5 games this season and the lady Rattlers 2. In the MEAC though they are the better teams in the South and after Friday night one of them will be the outright leader of the Southern Region. Whoever is on top at the end of the season will be the number one seed during the conference tournament in November.Both Bethune and FAMU beat Savannah State University and the South Carolina State University Bulldogs last weekend. The scores were very similar. Bethune went 3-0 against South Carolina State winning the sets with scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-22. FAMU also achieved a 3-0 finish at South Carolina State winning the match 25-20, 25-22, and 25-20. At Savannah State Bethune finished 3-0 winning the match with scores of 25-14, 25-14, and 25-13. FAMU was not quite as dominant against Savannah finishing the match at 3-0 with scores of 25-21, 25-12, and 25-15.
