LONGVIEW, Texas -- The rubber match between #1 LSUA and #13 Langston will determine the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament Championship when the two meet in the Tournament Finals Saturday evening at LeTourneau University's Solheim Arena.

The Generals (28-2, 17-1 RRAC) are riding the nation's longest win streak in men's basketball at 21 games. Their latest victim, the LSU Shreveport Pilots, who LSUA beat 90-75 in the semifinals on Friday night.

Langston (24-6, 15-3 RRAC) is the last team to defeat the Generals, done way back on December 3rd, 82-78 in overtime at Langston. Daniel Mulamba had a career night that night against LSUA, scoring 20 points in the win.

But LSUA exacted a measure of revenge on February 5th, defeating the Lions 65-63 at The Fort. Both Jordin Williams and Brian Sylvester each led the way in the win with 16 points each. That win put the Generals alone in first place in the conference to stay on their way to their second straight conference regular season championship.

The Lions are led by Curtis Jones, who averages 15.6 points per game. He scored 26 points in Langston's 71-65 semifinal win over Our Lady of the Lake. Mike Harris averages 13 points a contest, while Terrell Jones puts down 12.1 points each time out. Renard Green rounds out their leaders at 11.4 points per game.

LSUA continues to be led by RRAC player of the year, DeAngelo Coleman, who averages 14.5 points per game. Brian Sylvester, the NAIA blocks champ and RRAC defender of the year, averages 12.3 points per game and three blocks per contest. Darius Johnson has raised his scoring average to 10.3 points per game.

Both LSUA and Langston have clinched automatic berths into the NAIA National Championship Tournament. Tip off in the RRAC Tournament Championship Game is set for 5:00 PM in the Solheim Arena.
