JCSU Football Inks Six on National Signing Day

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina -- Johnson C. Smith University third-year head football coach Kermit Blount has announced the signing of six student-athletes to the binding National Letter of Intent as part of National Signing Day.

"It's an exciting day for Golden Bull football," said Blount. "These additions will add much needed depth as we continue to build the foundation of our program. This group will add some size and speed to our defense, particularly to the defensive front."

Of the six signees, four are defensive players that will help add depth to a JCSU side that finished the 2016 season ranked 11th in total defense in the CIAA. Offensively, creating depth and competition at the quarterback position was a priority as well as adding depth the JCSU receiving corps.

A complete list of today's signees can be found below. Additional signees will be released as they are received.
