Benedict's Bey Named SIAC Women's Basketball Player Of The Week

ATLANTA, Georgia – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its men's and women's basketball Players of the Week.

For women, for the second consecutive week, Ay'Anna Bey (Benedict) was named Women's Basketball Player of the Week, while Alexis Harris (Lane) earned Newcomer of the Week.

AyAnna Bey SIAC POWFor men, LaJustin Anderson (Lane) was named Player of the Week, while teammate,Daniel Hill (Lane) earned Newcomer of the Week, released by the league office on Tuesday.

Women's Basketball

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Ay'Anna Bey, Benedict

Forward | 6'2 | Sophomore | Blackwood, NJ

Bey led the Lady Tigers to a 2-0 record on the week. The New Jersey native averaged 26 points and 10 rebounds last week and scored a career-high 35 points in a 95-90 win over LeMoyne-Owen. The 6'2 forward also had two steals and three assists against the Magicians.
