Southern University to host Family Day on the Bluff Nov. 10

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana  -- After eclipsing 20,000 fans in the last two home games, Southern University Athletics is offering special discounted tickets for select groups as a part of Family Day on the Bluf
f on November 10 during the Arkansas-Pine Bluff game.

Athletics officials are encouraging families of four or more, members of the Armed Forces and first responders, East Baton Rouge parish and surrounding parishes teachers and students, and EXXON Mobil employees to contact the SU Ticket Office at 225-771-3171 for more details about the special discounted tickets available.

Saturday’s home finale features a salute to a number of groups including members of the Military and first responders. The University’s Office of Admission is also hosting High School Day and Senior Day on the Baton Rouge Campus complete with events geared towards recruiting students from the state and surrounding region.

Southern has also partnered with BREC on the GO to host the Jaguar Kids Zone near Mumford Stadium to emphasize the importance of fitness and wellness to kids.

The Jaguars, who lead the Southwestern Athletic Conference west division, host UAPB in their final home game before preparing for the annual Bayou Classic in New Orleans on Nov. 24.

Fans are reminded that kickoff for Saturday’s game against the Golden Lions is scheduled for 4 p.m.
