Simmons: “We have 26 guys that have not been certified to compete for various reasons. We have a couple that are academically ineligible. Other guys have issues within our university structure that are preventing them from being certified. These guys are on schedule to graduate.”

Simmons said there are 26 players that are not certified to play. They are working to get them certified by the NCAA.

The player FAMU flew up Saturday was TJ Demas (true freshman offensive lineman). It was a player they got certified late.
