WHAT IS 'SERIOUS' AND 'SYSTEMIC' IS Florida owes Florida A&M University (FAMU) an estimated $1.97 billion to $2 billion in funding from the 1890 land-grant program. This figure represents the difference between the funding FAMU received, and what it would have received if it had been funded at the same level as the University of Florida (UF), a predominantly white land-grant institution, between 1987 and 2020. THIS IS IN VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW!!! (Second Morrill Act of 1890)
