Dr. Jorim E. Reid
Director of Bands, Assistant Professor, and Coordinator of Instrumental Music, Fine and Performing Arts. Dr. ReidDr. Jorim E. Reid, the Director of Bands at Morgan State University and its Magnificent Marching Machine, holds a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from Boston University, a Master of Music Education (MME) in Oboe from Florida State University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Music (Piano) from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). His talents as a composer, arranger, instructor, and director have provided a lasting impact on HBCU marching band programs at North Carolina Central University (Sound Machine), UNC - Fayetteville State University (Broncos Xpress) and Morgan State University (Magnificent Marching Machine). Dr. Reid's Dissertation: Marching Sound Machines: An Autoethnography of A Director of Bands at An Historically Black College And University.
