NORFOLK, Va. - On July 1, Norfolk State University (NSU) welcomed its fifth president, Dr. Tony Atwater. Atwater says he wants to expand and strengthen programs at the university, but says his main focus is the students.
"We're about achieving dreams and helping students to achieve success beyond measure," said Atwater. One of those dreams is expanding graduate and professional programs at the university. Atwater continued, "At the forefront of my vision for Norfolk State University is serving the student and the faculty and helping the institution develop to go to the next level.
