Prairie View, Texas - Quarterback Jerry Lovelocke threw for 242 yards and two touchdowns, and Fred Anderson rushed for two scores to help carry Prairie View A&M to a 43-34 win over Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night in Prairie View.
The Panthers (2-2, 2-1 Southwestern Athletic Conference) won for the second time in three games and moved into sole possession of second place in the SWAC Western Division behind frontrunner Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Mississippi Valley State (0-3, 0-4) suffered its 15th consecutive loss and 20th in the last 21 games dating back to 2009.
