TSU Men's Tennis Battles FAMU

TALLAHASSEE, Florida -- The Tennessee State men’s tennis team dropped to 0-2 on the season with a 7-0 loss to Florida A&M.

Doubles team one of Kyle Burton and Joseph Daniels fell 8-3 and team two of Daniel Bernal and Branden McClain also lost by the same score.

In the singles portion of the match, Bernal won set one, 7-5, but dropped the second set, 3-6, and the tiebreaker, 18-16.

TSU’s No. 2 player Kyle Burton lost both of his sets, 6-2, and Joseph Daniels won four games total, but came up short, 6-1, 6-3.

Jared Asher closed the day by losing in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

The Tigers will next play host to Stillman on Friday, March 7 at 4 p.m.
