Alabama A&M took a 34-14 lead with 6:08 left in the third quarter when Jonathan Dorsey scored on a 44-yard pass from Jaymason Lee for the Bulldogs.
It was the third straight score for the Bulldogs who turned a 17-14 lead into the 34-14 advantage. Brandon Eldemire scored on a 2-yard-run with 8:18 left in the first half. Then Cesar Ramon-Diaz kicked a 40-yard field goal just 1:19 into the third quarter for a 27-14 lead.
After Dorsey's score, it was all Southern University as they scored the next three touchdowns for the win.
