Southern 49, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 17: Luke Johnson's top three thoughts
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana -- 1. WHAT WE LEARNED: Last week’s sluggish performance against Jackson State was just that, and not indicative of what was to come from Southern. The Jaguars beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff the way they were supposed to, then spent time after the game lamenting the three possessions they had that didn’t end in scores.
2. TRENDING NOW: Willie Quinn set the Jaguars’ all-time receptions record with his 206th career catch Saturday night, and he is now less than 100 yards away from becoming the second receiver in school history to crack 3,000 career yards receiving. He did it on a night when he was outstanding as usual, scoring two more touchdowns.
