Bethune-Cookman has one of nation's best marching bands, but it won't make trip to Nebraska

LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Bethune-Cookman’s football team is visiting Nebraska for the first time this weekend. The school’s famous marching band — which has its own Netflix series — will not be coming, though.
A Nebraska official said Monday that BCU’s band — known as “The Pride” — is not accompanying the football team to Lincoln. An administrative assistant for the BCU band said it was “not financially able” to make the trip.
BCU was a bye-week replacement opponent for the Huskers after thunderstorms canceled the season-opening game against Akron.
