Shaw To Hold First Football Practice August 7

RALEIGH, North Carolina —The Shaw University football team reported for camp Sunday, and will hold their first practice of the 2013 season on Wednesday, August 7 at 3:00 p.m. at Chavis Park.

 

The opening of camp is the start of a packed month of activity for the Bears.  In addition to ongoing practices after Wednesday, Shaw will hold their fall scrimmage on Saturday August 24 at noon at Chavis Park.   A Pigskin Preview will be held on August 28 which will give media and fans a chance to meet the Bears and hear about the upcoming season.

 

Shaw opens the 2013 football season with a home contest against Charleston (WV) on Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m. at the Durham County Memorial Stadium.  Both single game and season tickets are on sale now.
