JB Team Sports becomes XULA's primary adidas supplier

NEW ORLEANS — Xavier University of Louisiana Athletics announced Wednesday that JB Team Sports of Lafayette, La., has become the department's primary provider of adidas apparel and shoes.

XULA has been in an exclusive multi-year agreement with adidas since 2014. JB Team Sports is Louisiana's largest adidas Team distributor and the state's only 3-Stripe Team dealer.

Xavier University of Louisiana Athletics"Being Louisiana's only adidas 3-Stripe Team dealer means we can provide Xavier with better pricing and promotional deals than other distributors," said JB Team Sports owner James Boudreaux. "That's even better when you consider that adidas quality is as good as any competitor's, and adidas prices are the best."

The agreement between XULA and adidas — the first time that all of university's varsity athletics programs have been included in an all-encompassing apparel agreement — has resulted in substantial savings on game uniforms, practice apparel and footwear and has brought consistency to color, design and logo usage on XULA uniforms and apparel.

"JB Team Sports is excited to be a part of what Xavier has going on," Boudreaux said. "Xavier is an excellent university that is respected for outstanding academics and athletics. We are happy to play our part to help grow the Xavier brand."

Said Jason Horn, XULA assistant vice president for student affairs / director of athletics & recreation:

"We enjoy our partnership with adidas and look forward to growing the relationship through JB Team Sports."

XULA is a longtime member of the NAIA and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.
