Judges Hear Arguments In 12-Year-Long HBCUs vs Maryland Case

The Hogan Administration needs to take HIS advice and SOLVE this long term problem in the Maryland higher education system.  Maryland's budget surplus was $590 million in the last fiscal year (June 2018). The Maryland Board of Revenue Estimates submitted to the governor on Sept. 24, 2018, a revised estimate of general fund revenues for fiscal year 2019 of $18.088 billion and an estimate of $18.678 billion for fiscal year 2020.  The issue is not about Maryland's inability to fully fund Bowie State, Coppin State, Morgan State and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and settle this long term case, but a desire not to allow the HBCUs to become fully competitive in the education industry in Maryland.  The State is bleeding with excess revenue and a strong economy.  HBCUs and Maryland voters, please hold Governor Hogan accountable to settle this case.
