Xavier Nuggets remain 3rd, add Saturday visit to Lady Demons
The Gold Nuggets have started the season 2-2, including home victories against NCAA Division I Texas State and city rival Loyola, which climbed one place to 20th. XULA's losses were to DIs South Alabama and New Orleans.
Coach Alan Green announced an additional match for the Nuggets: 11 a.m. Saturday at Northwestern State in Natchitoches, La. The Lady Demons are one of seven DIs on the XULA schedule.
The Gold Nuggets' active poll streaks:

The Gold Rush (1-1) are in the top five for the 29th consecutive time — that streak began Jan. 26, 2016.
The Gold Rush lost at NCAA Division I South Alabama, then earned a home victory against NAIA and city rival Loyola, which is among the "others receiving votes" at 28th place.
The XULA men will not compete this week, but their next dual match — 4 p.m. Feb. 22 at the University of New Orleans — will begin a workload of six competitions in eight days.
