XU Nuggets to conduct tryouts during first 2 days of semester

XU seeks a fourth consecutive GCAC regular-season championship.

NEW ORLEANS — On the first two days of the fall semester — Aug. 26 and 27 — Xavier University of Louisiana will conduct walk-on tryouts for its women's basketball program.
    
The tryouts will be from 7-9 p.m. both days at the Convocation Center for students enrolled at Xavier during the fall. For more information, contact associate head coach Darrilyn Broussard at (504) 520-7513 or dbrouss1@xula.edu.
    
Xavier's Gold Nuggets were 24-6 in 2012-13, winning the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference regular-season championship for the third consecutive season and qualifying for the NAIA Division I National Championship for the fourth consecutive year and the 17th time in 19 seasons.
