JACKSON, Mississippi -- Jackson State men's basketball unofficially opens Year 2 of the Wayne Brent era Nov. 4.The Tigers host Tougaloo for an exhibition game, when Brent faces a former high school rival coach Thomas Billups. JSU then begins nonconference play on the road at North Carolina State Nov. 14.
They host Southern Miss on Dec. 18 and open the SWAC season Jan. 3 at Alabama A&M.
JSU had a disappointing finish in the 2013-14 season with an 11-20, 7-9 SWAC record, and getting knocked out of the first round of the SWAC tournament by last-seed Grambling State.
