FOUR-DOWN TERRITORY

1 Morgan makes his mark: In his second game back from a groin injury, defensive end Julian Morgan showed Tuskegee fans what they’ve been missing. Morgan recorded 11 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks, forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles in last week’s 49-20 win over Stillman College, earning the SIAC defensive Player of the week. “After that game, I just felt like I was welcomed back. It was a beautiful thing. I worked hard to get back, and it showed on the field that game,” Morgan said. At 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, the undersized pass rusher missed three games. He now leads the team with six sacks for the season. But for Morgan, more important than the sacks, he was just happy to get back out on the field. “It was tough. I used to come out in full pads every day just because. I couldn’t stand to see all my brothers out there fighting, and I’m watching them fight,” Morgan said. “Coming back was the best part of my year so far. It’s good to be back.”
