Howard Bison London Inks 22 In First Full Recruiting Class

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Howard University Head Football Coach Mike London and his staff wrapped up their first official recruiting class by adding 23 student-athletes to the HU football program. The list of 22 includes early signees from Thursday, Dec. 21 and today's #NationalSigningDay period.

"We're excited about this current recruiting class," said London. "The staff did a great job bringing in our first full recruiting class. There are several talented players who joined us. We filled some needs and increased our team speed as many also ran track."

The class of 2022 features standouts from 10 different states across the country including four (4) linebackers, three (3) defensive backs, three (3) running backs, two (2) two-way players, one (1) quarterback, one (1) wide receiver, one (1) tight end and eight linemen (five) (5) offensive linemen and three (3) defensive linemen. The class accolades also include four two-star student-athletes, one three-star student-athlete and one four-star student-athlete in Jayde Pierre.

"We recruited nationally as indicated in this class as well as the DMV area," London continued. "There are some notable players that were rated by some recruiting services as twos, threes, and one four-star. They will compliment our team and are student-athletes who desire to earn a degree from Howard."
