Talladega Names William Hardee Head Women's Volleyball Coach

TALLADEGA, Alabama (Jan. 31, 2019) – Talladega College and Athletic Director Kevin Herod are excited to announce the naming of William Hardee as the new Women's Volleyball Head Coach.

"We are excited to have Coach Hardee become a part of the Talladega College family," said Herod. "Our job is to find the right fit and best coaches for our student-athletes. Coach Hardee comes highly recommended from NCAA Division 1 programs and we have no doubt he will help elevate our Women's Volleyball program."

Coach Hardee comes to Tornado Alley with 17 years Division I coaching experience. He most recently spent time at Northwestern State University and previously to that was at The University of Alabama Birmingham, The University of North Dakota, and New Mexico State University.

"I am both excited and grateful to be a part of the Talladega family," said Coach Hardee. "Our historic campus is going through some amazing changes and it is a great time to be a part of it all. The vision and strength of our president Dr. Billy Hawkins, the faculty and this community are evident in recent years. We will build a volleyball program that is just as strong and proud. I would like to thank Kevin Herod and Demond Walker for the privilege to coach this program. My wife and two boys are ready to cheer on the Tornadoes so let's pack our beautiful new arena as we race to championships."

During his tenure Coach Hardee holds a head coaching record of 122-63, with an overall coaching record of 360-181. He is a two-time award winner of Conference Coach of the Year and has brought his various teams to three regular season championships, three conference tournament championships, and five NCAA tournament appearances.
